The Altrimenti Cultural Center is honored to welcome Roman Martynov, a virtuoso pianist from Moscow, for an exceptional concert. An artist with an impressive career, trained at the prestigious Tchaikovsky Conservatory and recognized on international stages in Warsaw, Paris, Tokyo, and even at the Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg, Roman Martynov captivates audiences with the power and depth of his playing.

Through a repertoire that combines passion and virtuosity, he invites the audience on a unique musical journey, where the rigor of the great Russian masters meets the sensitivity of the greatest romantic works.

This concert is part of a unique artistic weekend featuring three events with the participation of actor Alexander Driven and pianist Roman Martynov.

A rare opportunity to discover an exceptional pianist in the warm setting of the Altrimenti Cultural Center :

• Roman Martynov was born in 1992 in Moscow.
• In 2010 he graduated from the Moscow Secondary Specialized Music School (College) named after the Gnessins (class of Professor T.A. Zelikman).
• In 2015 he graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (class of Professor V.M. Tropp).
• In 2017, he completed an assistant-internship at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, under the direction of Honored Artist of Russia Boris Berezovsky.
• Laureate of the A.N. Scriabin scholarship in 2008;
• Laureate of the Festival of Romantic Music of Young Musicians of Moscow (2008); the Third Moscow Festival of Young Pianists named after G.G. Neuhaus (2008);
• Laureate of the 1st prize of the First open competition of the Moscow Musical Society (2019)
• Laureate of the 3rd prize of the International Competition of the 16th Hamamatsu Academy (Japan, February 2012).
• Moscow Government Scholarship Recipient (2010), Semi-finalist of the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (Japan, November 2012), Participant of the 17th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (Poland, 2015), Finalist of the Inmusica International Piano Competition in Rome (Italy, July 2018).
• Participant of the International Music Festival in Rheingau (Germany, 2008); concert of laureates of the Third Festival of Young Pianists named after G.G. Neuhaus in Paris (2008). Performed concerts in Italy (2009).
• Participant of the Mariinsky Theatre festival “Faces of Modern Pianism” in 2016 in St. Petersburg.
• Participant of the All-Russian festival « Music of the Earth » in 2017.
• He performed with the Gnessin Virtuosi Orchestra, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dmitry Orlov, and the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra.
• He has performed at the Assembly Hall (Salt Lake City, Utah, USA); the Sinfonia Varsovia Concert Hall in Warsaw (Poland), the A. Cortot Hall in Paris; the Rachmaninoff, Small and Large Halls of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, and the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg.
