This summer, become the star of your own story! Altrimenti invites young participants (ages 12–16) to explore a week of creativity, self-expression, and confidence-building in a fun and safe environment. Our unique summer school offers a rich blend of media training, theatre arts, and holistic movement.

1. Holistic Movement Class (Dance)
2. Young Journalist Workshop (writing and video editing)
3. Theater Workshop (with a public presentation)

Schedule & Practical Info

Find out which week works best for you and take a look at our daily rhythm, carefully crafted to balance creativity, movement, learning, and fun, with breaks and meals included!

Weekly Sessions:

• July 28 – August 1
• August 4 – August 8
• August 25 – August 29 Sold out

Choose one week (from Monday to Friday) that works best for your schedule – each session follows the same format and content.
Multiple-week registration is possible; however, the format and activities are repeated

Daily Schedule:

• 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM → NIA Holistic Movement
• 11:00 AM – 11:15 AM → Morning Snack Break
• 11:15 AM – 1:00 PM → Media Workshop – Part 1
• 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM → Lunch at a local restaurant
• 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM → Media Workshop – Part 2
• 4:00 PM – 4:15 PM → Afternoon Snack Break
• 4:15 PM – 6:00 PM → Theatre Workshop

1. Move with Joy – NIA Holistic Movement Class

A week to release energy, dance, build confidence… and above all, have fun!

Start the day with movement and mindfulness! NIA combines dance, martial arts, and wellness practices to promote physical awareness, coordination, and a positive connection to the body.

What to expect:
Easy-to-follow choreographies set to music
Activities to build self-confidence and body awareness
A pressure-free atmosphere led by a certified instructor

2. Young Journalist Workshop

A Week to Be the Star of Your Own Story

Become a young reporter and learn the art of storytelling, reporting, and broadcasting! In this hands-on media lab, kids will write, interview, film, and work behind the scenes.

What to expect:

Journalistic Skills:
Choosing strong subjects
Writing interviews and headlines
Presenting on camera with confidence

Technical Skills:
Camerawork and framing
Sound and teleprompter use
Intro to video and audio editing

3. FormiDoble Theatre Workshop

A week to Express Yourself

Close the day with creativity and stage presence! This drama workshop encourages self-expression through voice, movement, and character creation. With games, improvisation, and teamwork, participants will prepare and perform a short scene by the end of the week.

What to expect:

Group trust and stage dynamics
Voice projection and emotional expression
Creative mime and object work
Partner improvisation
Final presentation on Friday
